DREAM AID APPLICATION PROCESS

The California Student Aid Commission’s DREAM ACT Application is used to determine the financial aid eligibility of students who meet the qualifications of AB540, and who are without a valid immigration status. The application collects basic personal and income information to determine a student’s eligibility for funding under AB 131. Dreamers must do and meet the following to be eligible for financial aid:

  1. Be admitted to CSUSB
  2. Meet AB 540 requirements
  3. Complete CSUSB’s AB 540 Affidavit with the Office of Admissions and Student Recruitment.
  4. Submit Dream Act Application through the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC).
  5. Complete the Cal Grant GPA verification application for Cal Grant consideration by March 2.
  6. Print out a copy of the chafee application from the Commission’s website and submit it to the Commission for processing. (For Foster Youth)
  7. Complete the CSUSB scholarship application by March 2. (Optional)
