Scholarships
On-Campus Scholarships
An on campus scholarship is a scholarship that is administered by the Financial Aid Office, academic colleges, various campus departments and associations. These are available for both incoming and/or continuing students and are generally awarded based on financial need, merit, leadership, talent and community service. Some scholarships may require a GPA of 2.0 or higher and enrollment criteria may vary by each scholarship.

Application Process
A general application is submitted electronically via MyCoyote by clicking on the "Apply Scholarship Online" link. All scholarship requirements (i.e. autobiographical essay, letter of recommendation, and gpa for entering freshman and transfer students) will be submitted through the online application no later than February 5, 2010 at 5pm. Students who complete a general application will be automatically be considered for "ALL" scholarships for which they are eligible.
Awarding and Notification Process
Scholarships are normally awarded during the spring and summer for the following academic year. During that time scholarship award notification letters will be sent which will include the name and amount of the scholarship and the award information will also be posted to your MyCoyote. Consideration for additional scholarship awards may continue throughout the academic year.
Requirements
A complete scholarship application will consist of the following:
- The 2010-2011 CSUSB Online Scholarship Application
- An autobiographical statement, and
- One letter of recommendation from a current or previous instructor
- GPA for first-time freshman and transfer students
